The Story Behind Lakeside Classic Wines
Hi, my name is Prof Nimal Raj, and I am the wine enthusiast and founder of Lakeside Classic Wines in the Roussillon Region, France.
You know, wine is one of those things that to many people, can incite a tremendous amount of feelings and emotions. French wine is enchanting and mysterious—it gives joy, confuses, and inspires. In many cases, these complexities lead to a love which leads to a deep-seated passion for wine. For me, it led to the creation of Lakeside Classic Wines.
Through a bottle, you can communicate everything. Wine is found in the dusty clothes worn from the fatigue of a good harvest, or fresh-pressed evening wear ideal for the perfect dinner. It is this idea which expresses the true passion behind wine: the togetherness it creates within friendship, family, and love.
Whether they be long-standing relationships or newly formed over a good glass, wine has an uncanny ability to be there during those special evenings when you are looking for that smile or that spark which makes life memorable.

Champagne & Languedoc Mastery
Following his father into the vineyard revealed a lifelong calling, leading to formal studies as a wine technician and oenologist in Champagne, followed by 20 years managing prominent estates across the Languedoc.
Micro-Vinification & Acclaimed Character
With the aim of designing high-level wines with distinct character, our modern cellar was founded in 2019. In that very first year, the wines earned 2 stars in the prestigious Guide Hachette and 90 points in Wine Enthusiast.
Mastering the Chain from Planting to Bottling
Our ambition and deep viticultural knowledge allow us to oversee the complete production chain without compromise: from caring for old bush vines to gentle pressing and estate bottling.
Our vineyards feature noble southern French varieties including Syrah, Grenache Noir, Grenache Blanc, and Carignan Blanc. Traditional micro-vinification parcel by parcel allows us to exalt the true quintessence of our ancient Pyrenean terroir.
